I fill this in every morning before the open. It takes about ten minutes.

Most journals record what happened. Your entry, your exit, a screenshot. This one records the decision instead: what I needed to see before I’d act, what I actually did, and whether those two matched.

Early on, they usually didn’t. Finding that out in writing, every day, is what changed how I trade.

   Direction and reasoning, written before the window opens.

   Playbook, opening type, confluences, trigger, target logic.

   What invalidates the idea.

   After the close

   Decision quality, did it appear as written, deviation report, one takeaway.
